Our original rat race was the Gnomes of the Gnomish Olympic Team, who ran from Coldridge to just outside the Undercity. I hated the rat race, but everyone else had fun, and Jashoo won. For the second race, the Gnomish Olypic team had levelled in places and were scattered around the world. Not to mention scattered at the bottom of the Aldor elevator. So we went Horde and the guild Cow Tripping was born. We ran from Mulgore to the Gurubashi Arena. I hated that, too. But everyone else seems to like it. I don't remember who won, but it wasn't Jashoo.
We came:
We ran:
We conquered:
The first gnome darts was held at the airstrip above Ironforge that you used to be able to get to with the help of Noggenfogger elixirs. It was an epic event that ended most excellently with dozens of gnomes plummeting off the top of the IF gate onto the duelers who used to CONSTANTLY congregate out there. Then BC was released, and you didn't need to cheat to get gnomes dangerously far off of the ground...
I would have won this, if I hadn't been dumb enough to show Fred where my hiding spot was. I stand by that claim. It was hide and seek plus snowballs in Shatt city, and while it wasn't as obnoxious as Dodgeball in the Deeprun Tram, it was obnoxious to a greater portion of the server, and that's good enough for me!
Happy New Year, Dirt Dogs.
It amazes me that the officers haven't killed each other yet. I mean trust me, we've had our fair share of "debates". And in the end, we step back, take a breather, and log back on again for another day of planning and "discussion". I can pretty much say we all have a slightly different take on everything, which is probably why things work out. For us to all agree on something is a miracle. I guess we're a bit crazy, but we get the job done. . . . -Jashoo
Note from infamy: Since this was posted (years ago!), seems YouTube has had a copyright fit. It used to have the Friends theme playing in the background and it was totally awesome.
It's almost two years later and I still grin ear-to-ear. Nothing in this game has ever delighted me the way my first glance at this video did. The quiet mage and hunter duo standing at the back of the room leapt to the forefront of the guild, and they've stayed there ever since.
Mirabell and Barenger do it again.
